Bronx family shelter killing: Two young boys stabbed to death, probe underway

The city police received a complaint of a woman acting irrationally around 7.30 pm, and officers reached the apartment immediately. They (officers) found the woman behaving strangely, and neighbours informed the officers that she was trying to burn down her apartment. The police took her to a local hospital for checking.

The neighbours reportedly heard the man and woman yelling and fighting and the man frantically screaming for help. One of the neighbours saw the man coming down the hall with the two blood-covered boys in his arm and shouting they were dead.

In a strange turn of events, the police received a second call an hour from the exact location with the information about two unresponsive toddlers lying there. The police found a three-year-old and another 11-month-old fatally stabbed. The boys were rushed to a local medical centre in extremely critical condition and died later.




Police are continuing their investigations and are hopeful of arresting the culprit soon.
