The Clippers started strong with a 22-13 lead after the first quarter, but the Lakers clawed back with an 18-10 run in the second, cutting the deficit to just one at halftime.
The game remained tight, featuring 13 lead changes and six ties, until a late 11-0 Clippers run secured the victory following a brief fourth-quarter lead by the Lakers.
Jordan Miller led the way for the Clippers, tallying 19 points on 7-for-11 shooting, along with seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals. His clutch three-pointer with just over three minutes remaining sparked the game-winning stretch.
Zavier Simpson added 12 points, six assists, and four rebounds, while Patrick Baldwin Jr. and rookie Yanic Konan Niederhauser chipped in 10 points apiece.
Despite both teams shooting under 28% from beyond the arc, the Clippers’ edge in points in the paint and timely forced turnovers made the difference in a competitive contest.
