Britney Spears reveals steamy fling with Colin Farrell after Justin Timberlake breakup

Pop sensation Britney Spears has finally shed light on her brief romance with actor Colin Farrell, following her highly publicized split from Justin Timberlake. The two-week tryst occurred in 2002 and was arranged by a "club promoter friend" when Farrell was filming the thriller "S.W.A.T." Spears, now 41, candidly details this passionate encounter in her upcoming memoir, "The Woman in Me," hitting stands on Oct. 24.

The whirlwind romance unfolded in the aftermath of Spears' relationship with Timberlake, which lasted from 1999 to 2002. Spears claimed Timberlake ended their relationship via text message, leaving her heartbroken. Not long after their breakup, she attended the premiere of Farrell's movie "The Recruit." On the red carpet, the pair's public display of affection raised eyebrows, but Spears admits she was still grappling with the emotional aftermath of her messy split from the NSYNC musician.

In her own words, Spears confessed, "As I had before when I’d felt too attached to a man, I tried to convince myself in every way that it was not a big deal, that we were just having fun, that in this case, I was vulnerable because I wasn’t over Justin yet." Spears revealed these sentiments in an excerpt from her memoir published by Time.


While Spears acknowledges that, for a brief moment, she believed there might be something more between her and Farrell, she also emphasized how these romantic disappointments contributed to her sense of isolation during that period.

Farrell, on the other hand, publicly stated during "The Recruit" premiere that he and Spears were not officially dating. He described her as a "sweet, sweet girl" and emphasized that they were just friends.

Spears, in her own words, disclosed in an interview with W Magazine that she had "kissed him" and expressed her admiration for the actor, referring to him as "the cutest, hottest thing in the world."
