Top actors including Brad Pitt and Reese Witherspoon are eager to produce a film based on Britney Spears’ memoir, According to Page Six.

Several sources have revealed that besides Brad Pitt and Reese Witherspoon, Margot Robbie and Shonda Rhimes too have shown interest in bringing “The Woman in Me” Spears’ memoir either on film or TV series.

Meanwhile, representatives for Spears, Pitt, Witherspoon, Robbie and Rhimes refused to give any comments on Page Six’s requests.


An insider informed that the project is not happening soon as it is still in a very early stage and more and more people are showing interest.

According to the Ankler, who first broke the news said that the 41 year Britney Spears had "at the last minute" rescheduled a recent meeting with a top producer, whose name is yet to be known because she “didn’t feel up to it".

Sources said that Spears was “overwhelmed by the response” and the “media frenzy surrounding it,” at the time of the release of her book on October 24. These have led her team to “hold off on making any major decisions about where the rights end up until she has time to catch her breath.”

Meanwhile, the Ankler reported that Spears is also in talk for a documentary that could come up with a $40 million paycheck.

In her memoirs, the pop star has spoken about the various aspects of her life from fame to relationship, marriages, secret abortion with ex Justin Timberlake and much more.

Spears just did one interview to promote her book and despite that the book “The Woman in Me” continued to top the bestseller list of the New York Times with 1.1 million copies already sold in the US alone in the first week.

She did not give any interview by stating that reliving her traumatic past during the writing of her book was “heart-wrenching and emotional.”
