British comedian Eddie Izzard has announced her intention to contest the next general election from one of the Brighton’s seats. Announcing her decision to fight polls, she said that she would contest on behalf of the Labour Party.

Explaining her decision to contest the poll, the comedian said that she would contest from Brighton to support the city and its vibrant and diverse society. But the Labour Party has said that it won’t comment on Izzard’s announcement. She could not secure the candidacy of the Labour Party from the Sheffield Central seat in 2022.
