Jacoby Brissett threw two touchdown passes and ran for another as the Arizona Cardinals snapped a five-game losing streak with a 27-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night. Filling in once again for injured starter Kyler Murray, Brissett completed 21 of 31 passes for 261 yards and no interceptions, marking his third straight start and a strong performance that lifted Arizona to just its second victory in the past 18 games without Murray.

The Cardinals (3-5) turned to Brissett after coach Jonathan Gannon confirmed Murray wasn’t quite ready to return from a foot injury. Brissett delivered, leading back-to-back touchdown drives on either side of halftime after Dallas had briefly closed the gap with a blocked punt recovered in the end zone by Marshawn Kneeland.

Marvin Harrison Jr. had a career-high seven receptions for 96 yards, including a 4-yard touchdown, while Trey McBride added a 12-yard score. Michael Wilson’s 50-yard catch and run helped spark the offense early in the second half.

Dallas (3-5-1) failed to capitalize on early chances, coming up empty on a fourth down at the Arizona 7-yard line and managing just three points on three red-zone trips. Quarterback Dak Prescott threw for one touchdown, a 5-yarder to rookie Ryan Flournoy in the fourth quarter, but the Cowboys’ offense again struggled for consistency.

The Cowboys’ hopes faded when Javonte Williams fumbled with less than five minutes remaining. Kicker Brandon Aubrey also missed a 68-yard field goal attempt before halftime that would have tied the NFL record.

For Arizona, the victory marked an encouraging rebound, with Brissett totaling 860 yards, six touchdowns, and only one interception over his three starts in place of Murray.
