Bridgertons fans have been waiting long enough for the next season. After the last season ended with Michaela leaving town even after she promised Francesca that she is there for her, the show ended in a cliffhanger. Viewers have been waiting to see how Netflix fares this one as they made a major change into Francesca’s story from Julia Quinn’s novels.

According to a report by What’s on Netflix, the cameras have stopped rolling but you might still have to wait for some time. Bridgerton Season 5 has officially completed filming, bringing Francesca and Michaela’s love story another step closer to viewers.

Netflix confirmed the production milestone through an October 26 update on Tudum. According to the report, after the filming was completed in London, the platform may release the new episode in 2027 but there is no official date. Fans will have to be patient to know the premiere date.

The television adaptation gives Francesca’s story a different romantic pairing while retaining its connection to Quinn’s novel. Readers already know that When He Was Wicked belongs to Francesca.
