Bridgerton Season 4: Latest updates about filming, plot and cast

Netflix has started filming the fourth season of its popular series, Bridgerton. Alongside familiar faces, three new cast members have been added. The upcoming season will focus on Benedict Bridgerton's story as he meets a mysterious woman at a masquerade ball.

Season 4 Filming

Netflix confirmed that production for Bridgerton Season 4 has officially started. The show is being filmed on the newly constructed backlot at Shepperton Studios. The location features replicas of Georgian and Regency architecture, including houses and buildings found on Mayfair Street. The fourth season will consist of eight episodes.

Plot

In this season, the storyline will focus on Benedict Bridgerton, played by Luke Thompson. Unlike his brothers, Benedict is not eager to settle down, even though both his elder and younger siblings are happily married. However, this changes when he meets a mysterious woman, known as the Lady in Silver, at a masquerade ball hosted by his mother. Netflix had earlier announced that Yerin Ha would play the role of Sophie Baek, Benedict’s love interest.

Cast

Three new actors have joined the cast for Bridgerton Season 4. Katie Leung will play Lady Araminta Gun, a twice-married, twice-widowed woman with two daughters. Her character will be under pressure to find suitable matches for her daughters in this season.

Michelle Mao has been cast as Rosamund Li, Lady Araminta’s eldest daughter. She is eager to please her mother and sets her sights on Benedict Bridgerton. Her determination to win Benedict’s heart will play a key role this season.

Isabella Wei will portray Posy Li, Rosamund’s younger sister. While her mother focuses on Rosamund, Posy is known for her kind nature. However, her tendency to speak too freely often puts her in awkward situations.

Returning cast members include Hugh Sachs and Emma Naomi, who will reprise their roles in this new season. The show continues to be run by Jess Brownell and is executive produced by Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Tom Verica and Chris Van Dusen.
