Law Enforcement Officials found this to be a potential threat to the general public. That is why Warren County Sheriff’s Office and the Bowling Green Police posted a video to explain what the potential threat is and why they felt a need to cancel the much-awaited celebrations.
Sheriff Brett Hightower told the public that they received a tip that a group of people were planning to shoot anyone who was protesting. This could quickly turn ugly as the protestors themselves will be carrying weapons. He also mentioned that the validity of this threat has not yet been established.
Homeland Security and the FBI have also gotten involved in the investigation to detect the location of these threats.
