Irish singer-songwriter Bono has shared his experience of nodding off in the official residence of the former US president Barack Obama. The 62-year-old singer-songwriter and U2 frontman said that he doesn't call it being 'drunk' as he has an "allergy to salicylates" found in tomato sauce, pizza, red wine, and a lot of other things. So, when he has a lot of those on a big night out, he "falls asleep anywhere" as his head tends to swell up like a balloon, according to reports.
He also said that he has fallen asleep in "really awkward" places like "car bonnets" and "on the street". He continued, saying that he did nod off at the White House and that they were "very, very good" about the incident.
After about 10 minutes, he was asleep; the president asked Bono’s wife Ali Hewson, with whom he went to the White House, "Where’s Bono gone?" In response, Ali said that he'd gone to sleep.
