Boeing still contemplating spacecraft issues while NASA astronauts hang in the balance
All is not well aboard Boeing's Starliner spacecraft that was responsible for ferrying two NASA astronauts to the International Space Station and back. However, everything is not going as planned by the team.

According to a CNN report, the astronauts piloting the Starliner spacecraft have now extended their stay aboard the International Space Station, while the problems in the spacecraft are still being assessed by engineers at Boeing. Both these astronauts are in an unsure position as Boeing staff is scrambling all resources to understand and resolve the problems around this spacecraft so that these astronauts can safely return home.
Spaceflight veterans Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore reached the International Space Station on June 6 aboard this spacecraft. Their stay on the ISS was slated to be for a week but challenges in the mission have pushed their stay further. It has to be ascertained if it is feasible for the astronauts to stay back in space for much long as the possibilities of the spacecrafts revival lie in a gray area.
Troubles on the spacecraft included helium leaks and faulty thrusters that began malfunctioning enroute the International Space Station and is now being assessed for its vulnerabilities. Meanwhile, Boeing has stated that the mission has been a success and learning curve for the organization.
NASA experts are still not much worried about the ability of the Starliner spacecraft's ability to bring back the two astronauts back to the other. They want to work on the remainder of the tour and missions that were planned around this launch mission. The astronauts can stay up to 45 days at the orbiting laboratory, until its parts are repaired and able to carry the astronauts home, says CNN.
