BoA faces flak from Street Man Fighter fans, gets accused of biasness. See what happened

K-pop star BoA or Kwon Bo-ah has been facing criticism from the street dancing show Street Man Fighter fans. Fans call the artiste’s decision to forfeit her vote during the battle between Prime Kingz and Bank Two Brothers biased, resulting in the former’s elimination from the show.

In an Instagram post, BoA lashed out at those criticizing her and said she was tired of the constant criticism. The K-pop star also shared a picture of a legal notice that SM Entertainment would be sending to those making malicious comments against her and other members of the show.

The notice stated that sharing malicious comments on the artistes’ social media and other media portals was an illegal act punishable by law. Further, the notice read that the legal team of SM Entertainment was gathering evidence to initiate legal action against the culprits engaging in criminal behavior.


Street Man Fighter has been an epicenter of a lot of controversies, unlike its prequel, Street Woman First, which was a smooth success. Fans have also criticized the producers for not having professional dancers as judges instead of “idols” like BoA. This criticism also surfaced during the first edition, as fans alleged that the judges were not even aware of certain dance genres. The three judges for the show are BoA, Wooyoung, and Eunhyuk.

Many fans on social media and the gossip chat forum Pann questioned the judge's decision to order a rematch after TRIX had won the match for Prime Kingz. They criticized BoA’s decision about the rematch as many believed that the first round had a clear winner. Some fans also demanded Prime Kingz to be brought back and the judges be eliminated instead.

In the previous edition, BoA had regularly joked about getting scared when the dancer fought in the battles. She pointed out that TRIX’s fierce krump moves scared her and that she thought he would hit her or the other contestants.
