Blue Eye Samurai Season 2: Netflix adult animated show's release date, plot, cast, creators and animators

Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 will be released on January 19, 2027 on Netflix. This has been confirmed by the streaming platform. The second season of the adult animated show will continue Mizu's story. The story will move outside of Japan as Mizu travels to London. Akemi, Taigen and Ringo will also have their own stories in Japan.

Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 will be unveiled on January 19, 2027. Netflix have confirmed the plot for Blue Eye Samurai Season 2. Mizu will continue her quest for revenge in London. She will meet new friends, old foes and face her own issues. The story will also head back to Japan as Akemi and Taigen try to adapt to their new Shogun in Edo Castle. Ringo will also look for something new in his life.

Maya Erskine will reprise her role as Mizu, while Brenda Song will provide the voice for Akemi. Darren Barnet will also reprise his role as Taigen and Masi Oka will provide the voice for Ringo. Jonathan Pryce, Joel Kim Booster and Sherry Cola will also be in the second season. Kenneth Branagh, George Takei, Randall Park, Stephanie Hsu and Ming-Na Wen were in the first season.

In August, Netflix announced that Blue Eye Samurai had been renewed for a third season. This will also be the final season and will be released in 2028. The first season won four awards at the 2024 Creative Arts Emmy Awards. This included Outstanding Animated Program award.
