Blake Lively reportedly pressured Taylor Swift to delete their texts as legal firestorm with Justin Baldoni intensifies

Lively allegedly asked Swift to erase their chats, according to new legal documents in relation to the court fight between Lively and Baldoni. Baldoni’s lawyers said they found out about Blake’s request from an anonymous source who they believe is trustworthy, as mentioned in the Page six report.

There is no proof yet that Blake actually asked Taylor to delete their chats.

Baldoni’s lawyers also said that Blake’s lawyer, Michael Gottlieb, requested Taylor Swift’s legal team to make a public statement in support of Blake.


The filing claims the request made it seem like, if Taylor didn’t help, private texts in Blake’s possession would be leaked.

Baldoni’s team said someone from Swift’s side responded to these threats in writing and sent it to Gottlieb. Baldoni’s lawyers now want those chats. They said those messages would show an attempt to scare or pressure a key witness in the case.

However, Blake’s lawyer called all these claims "categorically false" and said they were “completely untethered from reality”, according to the Page Six report.

A judge, Lewis Leman, ruled that Baldoni’s claims can’t be used in court. The judge also said the claims were just to “promote public scandal” and were based on belief, not solid evidence.

The start of the Drama

The issue began in December 2024 when Blake Lively filed a sexual harassment case against Justin Baldoni. A month later, Baldoni filed a countersuit accusing her of defamation and extortion, also bringing up Taylor Swift.
Baldoni’s side said Blake called Taylor Swift and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, “dragons” who protect her during creative fights. His lawyers said it was clear Baldoni was up against not just Blake, but her powerful celebrity friends.

When people found out that Taylor Swift got a subpoena, her publicist told Page Six she wasn’t involved with the movie at all. Taylor has not made a public statement, according to the report.

As reported by Page Six, Taylor and Blake are trying to move forward as friends, even though Taylor initially felt “used.”
