Kim Taehyung, also known as V, and Jennie from Blackpink have reportedly broken up. According to an exclusive report by the Korean media outlet JBTC, V and Jennie from BLACKPINK have decided to break up before V enlists in the military.

The two were sparking rumors of dating after being spotted together by French Paps in Paris.

Their agencies YG Entertainment and Big Hit Music, however, have never verified the reports of V and Jennie's past relationship. After V and Jennie were repeatedly spotted together by various media outlets, there were a lot of rumors that they were dating.


The pair gained attention in September 2022 after an online photo of them traveling in a car on Jeju Island went viral.

They allegedly went to New York within a day of each other after the image went viral, and they also shared photos of themselves in comparable settings, which fueled rumors about their relationship.

Their agencies have remained silent thus far following the reports on the breakup of the rumored relationship between V and Jennie.

V is scheduled to start his military service on December 11, so it is likely that one of the reasons for the breakup was his upcoming enlistment, according to the reports.

In addition, the announcement that V and Jennie were separating came just after Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and other members of BLACKPINK officially extended their contract with YG Entertainment.

In the past, speculation about their potential departure from the agency and possible disbandment were fueled by their unfulfilled contract. But with the official contract renewal, the rumors have been eliminated.

The BTS ARMY, however, denied the breakup rumors, saying that V and Jennie weren't even dating.
