Bizarre new find: Scientists say Uranus' moon could be home to aliens

Our universe has a lot secrets which are yet to be uncovered while scientists work tirelessly day and night to know about them. In a recent bizarre finding it has been known that a moon of Uranus might be home to aliens.

Johns Hopkins University and the University of North Dakota recently conducted a research together which suggested that a moon of Uranus, Miranda might harbor a subsurface ocean while this finding could have significant implications for the search of extraterrestrial life, reported New York Post. The study which was eventually published in The Planetary Science Journal indicated that the presence of water beneath the icy surface of Miranda is pretty surprising given its small size.

According to New York Post, Tom Nordheim, the famous planetary scientist expressed his huge excitement over the discovery while noting the fact that it enhances the understanding of human beings of the potential for ocean worlds in the outer solar system.

Using the data from Voyager 2 mission conducted by NASA which eventually flew by Uranus in the year 1986, researchers reanalyzed images of the unique terrain of Miranda to further investigate the effects of tidal forces and heating in its geology. New York Post noted that the conclusion from researchers included that Miranda most likely had an ocean between 100 to 500 million years ago as a result of gravitational attraction with nearby moons.

Current speculations from researchers suggest that this ocean might still exist in Miranda while the findings not only provide insights into the geological history of Miranda but also contribute to far more broader discussions about the habitability of icy moons in our solar system, asserted New York Post.
