Bitcoin price today: BTC touches record mark, Ethereum, Solana, Dogecoin are trading high

Bitcoin price on Monday crossed USD 1,09,000-mark. World's largest Cryptocurrency BTC was trading at USD 1,09,464.20, up by 0.42 per cent. Bitcoin showed tremendous resilience as it grew after a slide during the weekend. Apart from Bitcoin, Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Dogecoin (DOGE) are also trading high on Monday. Ethereum rose 2.6 per cent, Solana climbed by 3.1 per cent, Dogecoin was up 3.4 per cent.

This came after US President Donald Trump launched a scathing attack on Russian Vladimir Putin. Trump also distanced himself from the Russia-Ukraine war.

Bitcoin rose to its highest level on record on last Wednesday, eclipsing the previous high from January, as risk sentiment continues to improve after last month's tariff-induced selloff, Reuters reported.


The world's largest cryptocurrency touched a high of $109,760.08, and was last up 1.1 per cent at $108,117, as per the report.

Crypto market participants often point to increased involvement from traditional financial firms as reasons for its gains. This week they have referenced JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon, a longtime crypto skeptic, who said the bank will let clients buy bitcoin. Earlier this month, crypto exchange Coinbase was added to the S&P 500 index. Coinbase said on Monday the U.S. Department of Justice has opened a probe into a recent data breach at the company.
