Country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and Australian singer who officially changed her name to Firerose, had been rumoured to be married for months, with the latter frequently flashing her diamond ring on Instagram. They have now formally announced their engagement. People believe Cyrus is the real deal.

The 61-year-old Billy Ray Cyrus revealed how he met the 34-year-old Firerose on the set of Hannah Montana, the show he co-starred in with his daughter, Miley Cyrus.

He says he enjoyed doing the program, and there are a few ancient pine trees on the property that seem like they belong in Tennessee. Tex, his dog, and he would walk out there in the middle of the day and he'd take care of his business and they'd stretch and I'd realize how much I missed Tennessee.
