His daughter Phoebe has confirmed her long-time relationship with Paul McCartney’s grandson, Arthur Donald. Arthur is the son of 'The Beatles' legend’s eldest daughter, Mary McCartney. Confirming the relationship, the 21-year-old daughter of the billionaire Microsoft founder documented her graduation from Stanford University on June 26, 2024. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in human biology, Phoebe Gates put a photo diary for 'Nylon'. With another photo of the man, she wrote another caption, “With Arthur, he cleans up nicely.” She shared the picture with her boyfriend taken during her graduation party that evening. Phoebe donned a Tiffany-blue silk dress while Arthur wore a blue suit jacket and matching undershirt.

Phoebe also shared a video of her mother Melinda French Gates, in which she can be seen delivering the commencement speech at the graduation ceremony. Phoebe wrote, "My mother delivering the 133rd Stanford commencement address – graduating early to watch her deliver this was a dream come true!"
