Blackburn threw a question at Jackson and asked her if children should be taught to choose their genders in school. The question came after Blackburn quoted Jackson on a remark concerning Georgetown Day School. Jackson is a board member of this private school.

Jackson stated that the school is private, and she is not commenting on what the schools should teach. The senator then asked Jackson if she thought there were enduring physical differences between women and men. Jackson stated that the question comes from a case that took place previously, and she was not aware of it, so she would not be making any comments regarding that.

Blackburn asked a number of questions to Jackson, and she didn't give any clear answer to most of them.

A week earlier, young girls saw a biological man defeat a biological woman in swimming championships hosted by NCAA. The senator was referring to a case that was controversial and related to a transgender swimmer named Lia Thomas. The man was allowed to compete against a woman.

Jackson stated that she's not sure what the senator meant when she spoke about this. Jackson stated that these issues are up in the air and might come to court, so she does not know how to address them.

A video surfaced where Jackson denied defining women. The dictionary website dictionary.com states a "woman" as "a female adult." It also states that it is an elementary-level word.

The author of the book "Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters," Abigail Shrier, stated that Jackson is a woman who is pathbreaking, but the fact that she cannot define a woman is not a good sign. She stated that this is not the kind of person she would want to decide on American women's rights.
