'Beetlejuice Beetlejuice' is back and is ready to take revenge after more than 36 years. The trailer that has been released reveals Michael Keaton’s bio-exorcist is back with his exorcism. The director is Tim Burton and the scriptwriters are Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. It also witnesses the return of most of the characters. They are Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara and Delia Deetz. There will be some new characters including Jenna Ortega as Astrid Deetz, Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci and Willem Dafoe.

The trailer that has been released gives us a glimpse into the storyline of the upcoming thriller. It follows the three generations of the Deetz family who return to Winter River, following the death of one of their family members. Astrid who is Lyndia’s daughter opens up a Pandora box. What she does is open up a portal to an afterlife. She summons Beetlejuice which is a troublesome spirit. It is now keen to wreak havoc in the lives of people.

The trailer shows that Charles Deetz played by Jeffrey Jones has passed away. Astrid is seen saying “I can’t believe grandpa is dead”. Fans largely assumed that it was the Deetz family patriarch who would be the one who died in the sequel. The actor is now a proclaimed sex offender and is not part of the returning crew.

The trailer also shows a rebellious teenager Astrid who accidentally summons Beetlejuice by mentioning his name thrice. Scary? Fasten your seatbelt as the movie is only about to begin now. Is Astrid unaware of the powers of Beetlejuice and the havoc he can create in the world? The rest of the storyline will only be revealed when the movie is released.

Bellucci: Beetlejuice’s zombified wife
Among the characters who will be making an appearance, the trailer gives the following information. Bellucci plays the character of Beetlejuice’s zombified wife while Dafoe plays a ghost detective named Wolf Jackson and is looking for Beetlejuice to confront him. Theroux plays the character of Rory. Not much is known about the exact role.
