‘Batman: The Brave and the Bold’ finalizes Andy Muschietti as director, confirms maker Warner Bros
Warner Bros has now officially announced that the upcoming “Batman: The Brave and the Bold” will be directed by Andy Muschietti. He was long rumored to direct it, and now, it comes as an announcement.

Under the three-year motion picture deal, the Muschiettis will develop and produce potential tentpole films, with the possibility of directing. They will also continue to develop new television series for various platforms, including Max and external outlets, as part of their multi-year deal with Warner Bros Television Group and Warner Bros Discovery's Max.
Warner Bros Motion Picture Group Co-Chairs and CEOs Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy, along with Warner Bros Television Group Chairman and CEO Channing Dungey, made the joint announcement. Earlier, the Muschiettis had entered into a first-look agreement with WBTVG in 2021.
While it had been rumored for some time that Andy Muschietti would direct Batman: The Brave and the Bold, the WGA strike had cast doubt on the timing. However, James Gunn and Peter Safran, DC co-bosses, wanted to make the announcement official.
Gunn and Safran described Batman: The Brave and the Bold as their version of the DCU Batman, distinct from Matt Reeves' The Batman. The film will focus on Batman and his son, Damien Wayne, who is portrayed as a complex character.
