Renowned basketball player Taurean Prince of the Minnesota Timberwolves was arrested at the Miami airport on charges of being a fugitive. There was a warrant for his arrest after he was found with drugs at a traffic stop.

Popular Basketball player Taurean Prince of the Minnesota Timberwolves was arrested after a fugitive warrant was issued against his name. Taurean Prince was arrested at the Miami International Airport. Reports also stated that the player was first taken to the Turner Knight Correctional Centre near the airport immediately after his arrest. He was booked at the Miami-Dade County Jail just before 6 pm.
Why was a warrant issued against the Taurean Prince? A fugitive warrant was issued against Taurean Prince after he left Texas, his home state. Apparently, while Prince was in Texas last year, he was booked after drug traces were found on his person when he was stopped at a traffic signal.
After the charges were filed, Prince left Texas and came to Miami. As such, a fugitive warrant was issued in his name.
Reacting to Prince’s arrest, his team, the Minnesota Timberwolves, stated that they knew about the reports surrounding Prince. However, the team was gathering more information on the matter.

Who is the Taurean Prince? The 28-year-old Prince is a basketball player who played for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Brooklyn Nets in last year’s season. Before joining the Brooklyn Nets for the 2019–20 season, Prince played for the Atlanta Hawks for his first three seasons.
Taurean Prince was the twelfth pick in the 2016 NBA Draft by Baylor. Prince was also involved in the three-team trade wherein James Harden was shipped off to the Philadelphia 76ers. However, the Cleveland Cavaliers traded Prince for Ricky Rubio, sending him to Minnesota to play for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Last year, Prince’s average score was 7.3 points on 45.4% of his shots. Career-wise, Prince’s average stats include the following:
