While announcing her exit from HBO drama series 'Euphoria', actor Barbie Ferreira said, "I'm having to say a very teary-eyed Goodbye".

Barbie Ferreira will not return in the third season of 'Euphoria'. Barbie Ferreira announced her departure from the show via an Instagram story post where she wrote that she's saying "a very teary-eyed goodbye".

She also wrote that while playing, such an enigmatic and special character 'Kat' for four years, she put all her care and love to play her part beautifully. And just like many of the show's fans, Barbie Ferreira also sees herself in character and expresses her special care for the character by including "Love you Katherine Hernandez" in the Instagram story.


The character Kat or Katherine Hermandez was the best friend of Cassie, played by Sydney Sweeney and Maddie, played by Alexa Demine. For the show, Kat was a beacon of positivity. As the show progressed, she remodeled her style and grew more confident in her sexual orientation.

But in season 2, the storyline of this character faded to the background, and viewers were certainly left confused. Even rumours spread around about an on-set tension between Sam Levison, the creator of the show and Barbie Ferreira, including that the actor had stormed off set. Though HBO refuted the rumours, and even Ferreira shot down them in an interview with Insider in March.

The actor said that she thinks "fans are passionate" because of how the show 'Euphoria' has impacted many individuals.

Recently, in addition to 'Euphoria', the actor starred in the film 'Unpregnant' which released in 2020. She will also make an appearance in the horror film 'Nope' directed by Jordan Peele.
