In his concluding weeks as host of The Daily Show, Trevor Noah landed an incredible visitor, Barack Obama, the former US President. Both Obama and Noah applauded young voters for assisting great candidates in securing triumphs in the 2022 elections.

While Obama emphasized that there had been a spike in young voters, Trevor Noah first agreed but emphasized that the group is still not a majority. Many have voiced disappointment with the way politics undergoes in the US.

According to Barack Obama, despite the increase in young voters, the number of votes of young people will somewhat be less than older people because the younger generation “has better things to do”. The former US President underlines that youth voter turnout rates are higher now, that’s upliftment in such a divided atmosphere.

Barack Obama’s notion about the recent US midterm election:

Reminiscing his presidency, Obama conceded that people might have felt false security since he was there, and they’ll be alright. During 2018, 2020, and this election, young people are voting at a 70-to-30, 60-to-40 Democrat-Republican ratio, making a significant difference. It gives hope to him.

Well-known for his humour, he ended his talk show visit on a lighter note, telling Trevor Noah that following Barack Obama’s advice, he’s leaving while his poll ratings are high.
