American skateboarder Bam Margera has revealed that he suffered around five seizures and aspiration pneumonia due to COVID-19 complications. Margera added that it led to an almost fatal result.

During ‘Steve-O’s Wild Ride’ podcast, Margera, whose real name is Brandon Cole Margera, said that he was basically pronounced dead on Elvis’s birthday. He did not even know that he had COVID-19.

He added that his body was shutting down, and that he went into four seizures. Each one lasted for about 10 to 20 minutes, and in the fourth one, he bit his tongue so hard it nearly fell off. It got swollen and puffy. He said that he was also drinking the infected blood, which led to pneumonia as well. When he was taken to the hospital, he had a fifth seizure, and couldn’t breathe without a tube down the throat.

Margera was unconscious for around five days in a San Diego hospital. Although he felt that he was admitted only “a couple of hours” ago, Margera was released from the hospital after eight days.

Margera had tested positive for Adderall, which violated “wellness agreement” between the star and the “Jackass Forever” producers while he was in rehab in 2019 before joining the film.

At the time, Margera said that he had been taking Adderall for a decade with the help of the prescription.

Disputing the termination, the star had filed a lawsuit against “Jackass” co-creator Johnny Knoxville, “Jackass Forever” director Spike Jonze and Paramount, which was later settled.

At the time, Johnny Knoxville said that he didn't want to get into a public back-and-forth with Bam and just wanted him to get better.
