Former US President Barack Obama released a playlist of his favourite songs of 2022. Obama's list includes some of the year's biggest releases in a variety of genres. The playlist includes Bad Bunny's "Tití Me Proguntò", and Burna Boy's "Last Last", among 23 other songs. Obama said he always enjoyed sharing his end-of-year music playlist with everybody.

Barack Obama’s 2022 playlist is very diverse and at the same time unpredictable.

In the case of Ethel Cain and her "American Teenager," he chose an artist whose debut album, "Preacher's Daughter," received critical acclaim. It deals with heavy subject matter such as religion and domestic violence. Since Cain didn't make enough of an impression to show up in many critics' polls, Obama's endorsement could give her a significant boost.


Our Native Daughters member and Haitian-American artist Leyla McCalla can also expect more attention for her unreleased solo album.

SZA's "Shirt" is a very current selection that became a bestseller upon its release in mid-December, despite the fact that the song itself has been out since October.

Earlier in July, Obama also shared his annual summer playlist which included songs from Beyonce, Harry styles, Rosalia and the likes.
