Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are officially returning for Bad Boys 4 as Detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett. The Bad Boys franchise started in 1995 with its first film being directed by Michael Bay and it grossed over $140 million off a $19 million budget. Eight years later, its sequel was also termed as a success. The third edition came 17 years later, ‘Bad Boys For Life’. First things first, Bad Boys 4 does not have an official release date just yet. Smith and Lawrence confirmed the sequel on January 31. Playing ‘Shake Ya Tailfeather’ from the Bad Boys II, Smith said, “Yo, I’ve got an announcement. Y’all better stop scrolling…I wish I was you, not knowing what I’m about to show me.” Then, Smith arrives at Lawrence’s door and they both confirm Bad Boys 4 with the latter yelling, “It’s about that time”.



Bad Boys 4 will be directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah with Chris Bremner’s script and Jerry Bruckheimer as the producer. Moreover, the official title of Bad Boys 4 is also not announced.

Bad Boys 4: Cast & plot

While Will Smith and Martin Lawrence will reprise their roles as Mike Lowrey and Marcus Bennett in Bad Boys 4, no other cast members have been officially confirmed as of now. But it is sure that Joe Pantoliano will not return as Captain Conrad Howard as he was killed off in the third film. Reports also state that Paola Núñez may return to her role as Rita Secada, the former head of AMMO who was promoted in the last sequel. This could also mean that Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, and Charles Melton may return.

With the currently available information, it is likely that Bad Boys 4 plot would follow Mike and Marcus on a new mission while Mike works on his bond with Armando.
