Reality TV stars Kenny Braasch and Mari Pepin, known for their appearance on Bachelor in Paradise, exchanged vows on Saturday in a romantic ceremony at Hacienda Don Carmelo in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico.
The couple, who got engaged during the season 7 finale of the popular dating reality series, told PEOPLE that they chose the date 11/11 for their wedding, it has special meaning and it means good things.
Mari Pepin, 27, shared the significance of the date, and said, "I do believe in signs and numbers, and so 11/11 is obviously seen as a special number and it means good things." The decision to have their celebration on Veterans Day holds extra meaning for Pepin, as her father served in the military for 25 years.
Opting for a destination wedding in Puerto Rico, where much of Pepin's family resides, the couple aimed for a smaller and more intimate gathering of 65 guests. Pepin hinted at possible future celebrations with friends from Bachelor Nation.
Despite the limited guest list, the couple made sure to include their dogs, Dice and Monster, who attended the ceremony in tuxedos. Braasch's sister officiated the ceremony, where the couple exchanged personalized vows. Pepin wore a Justin Alexander gown for the ceremony and changed into a second dress for the reception.

The couple enlisted live wedding painter Sammie Cockerham to capture the special moments, and guests enjoyed a delicious chocolate cake with dulce de leche filling from local Puerto Rican baker Keik by Andrea.
The wedding weekend included various events such as a rehearsal dinner, a welcome reception, and accommodations at Hyatt Vacation Club Hacienda Del Mar, Dorado. Pepin also hosted a bridesmaids brunch, where they created floral arrangements using Flower Moxie, a company that guided them through the process.
Looking ahead, the reality stars plan to take a honeymoon, possibly a European cruise, next year.
