Avril Lavigne has revealed plans for two major outdoor shows in the UK next year, featuring support from Simple Plan. The renowned pop-punk artist and '00s icon will perform at Cardiff Castle in Wales on July 2 and at Manchester's Castlefield Bowl on July 3 as part of the Sounds Of The City series.

Known for hits like 'Sk8er Boi,' 'Complicated,' and 'Girlfriend,' Avril Lavigne released her latest studio album, 'Love Sux,' in February 2022, followed by an expanded deluxe version in November.

Tickets for the UK shows, set to go on sale this Friday (December 1) at 10 am, mark an exciting addition to her summer 2024 tour.

The Canadian singer's European tour kicks off in Austria on June 13, including performances in Spain, Italy, Germany, and France. The upcoming UK concerts are a part of Lavigne's broader tour celebrating the 'Love Sux' album.

In recent news, Avril Lavigne surprised fans with an appearance at the ‘When We Were Young’ festival, where she joined All Time Low for a rendition of 'Fake As Hell,' their collaborative track.

She also treated the audience to a live performance of her classic hit 'Sk8er Boi.' This follows her earlier surprise appearance at the CMA Fest, where she joined Miranda Lambert on stage for a rendition of the iconic 2002 track.

With tickets set to be available this Friday, attendees can expect a nostalgic journey through Lavigne's extensive catalog of hits, making these summer performances a must-see for fans of pop-punk and 2000s music alike.
Meanwhile, in July this year, Lavigne and rapper Tyga officially ended their widely discussed relationship. Reports said that the decision to part ways was mutual, with both agreeing that their relationship had naturally reached its conclusion.

Despite the breakup, Tyga and Lavigne seem to have parted amicably, with no lingering hard feelings between them.
