ABC will show the original 'Avatar' on broadcast television through the Disney-owned network. It will air on December 11, Sunday at 7 pm PT/ET. The original movie, which was released on December 18, 2009, revolved around the desire of humans to colonise Pandora's moon and mine its precious resources. However, humans had to explore the planet through Avatars. They could control the body remotely, and it resembled Na'vi. The sequel "Avatar: The Way of Water" will make its debut five days later. James Cameron's Avatar will air on FX on December 26 and Freeform on December 15 and 18.
