In response to a question from a leading channel, producer Jon Landau claimed to have completed the first act of 'Avatar 4' for logistical reasons. They have designed most of the movie for 'Avatar 4' but haven't filmed all of it – just the first act.

He talked about the film's cutting-edge technology during a sold-out event after showcasing 15 minutes of footage from "Avatar: The Way of Water." James Cameron appeared via video link at the event and discussed the film's ecological message and high-frame-rate projection.

The producer revealed to the press that they couldn't have delivered what people saw now a few years ago. For it to reach the level that they can provide today, they needed time.

Additionally, Landau revealed that the sequels would feature new cultures while maintaining the cultures of the previous movies. Audience will be introduced to new cultures and biomes with each sequel. Landau says they do not leave behind the cultures they have already created and met.

Using their art form to challenge people to see things differently is their responsibility as filmmakers. In addition, science fiction allows the creative team to metaphorise the world we live in without preaching about it.
