Australian man sets Guinness World Record for the fastest time to spin ferris wheel with bare hands; Watch

Australian man Troy Conley-Magnusson set Guinness World Record to achieve the fastest time to spin a giant Ferris wheel with bare hands. At Sydney's Luna Park, Troy spun the wheel in 16 minutes 55 seconds with his hands to raise funds for the charity Little Wings which helps severely ill children and their families.

Troy attempted for the Guinness World Record in honour of memory of 11-year-old Zac who passed away last year while battling eye cancer. The official social media accounts of Guinness World Record shared a fast-forward video of his attempt with the caption, “New record: Fastest time to rotate a Ferris wheel - 16 minutes 55 seconds by Troy Conley-Magnusson (Australia) This Ferris wheel, at Luna Park in Sydney, is in the shadow of the Sydney Opera House and was entirely rotated by hand.''




According to GWR, the Ferris wheel was put into the “freewheeling” mode which disengages hydraulics and brakes. The wheel was not powered in any manner and it moved by his attempt only. Troy told GWR that it was by far one of the hardest physical and mental challenges that he has ever undertaken while noting that he has done some pretty extreme feats of strength over the years. However, he said that attempting the fastest time to spin the ferris wheel with his hands “was different, something that had never been done before and something that required 100% commitment of mind and body”.

It is to note that Troy has now set a total of four Guinness World Records. He has previously pulled most cars with his teeth, pushed the heaviest vehicle over 100 feet and also the fastest 20-meter light aircraft pull with his teeth.
