Following the death of a fan amid extreme heat on Saturday, Taylor Swift postponed her performance and returned to the stage on Sunday in Brazil.

The "Cruel Summer" singer appeared to acknowledge Ana Clara Benevides' passing while the rain continued to fall on Sunday at Estádio Nilton Santos in Rio de Janeiro.

Despite the fact that the singer did not specifically name Benevides during her performance, her song "Bigger Than the Whole Sky" was reportedly included in honor of the college student, according to admirers.

Swift performed "Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye" on the piano, saying "You were bigger than the whole sky."

The pop singer's tearful moment during the soggy performance happened after Benevides had a heart arrest on Friday.

With supporters waiting in line outside the stadium, Swift made the decision less than twenty-four hours later to call it quits and move Saturday's event to Monday.

From my stadium dressing room, I'm composing this. Because of Rio's severe temperatures, the decision has been taken to postpone tonight's event, she stated on her Instagram Story.

My friends, fellow performers, and crew members' safety and well-being must always come first.
