Aslan band’s lead singer Christy Dignam has passed away battling cancer.

In a heartfelt tribute posted on Facebook, Christy's daughter Kiera expressed that he died peacefully after a courageous and prolonged battle, surrounded by his loved ones. She requested privacy for the family during this incredibly painful time.
Dignam was diagnosed with amyloidosis, which is a rare blood disorder cancer, in the year 2013. He received care from a palliative team and his family at his home in northside Dublin.
Aslan, in a statement, expressed their devastation at losing not only a band member but also a close friend.
