Ashlyn Harris dating Sophia Bush after divorce from Ali Krieger

U.S. Women's National Team star Ashlyn Harris and well-known actress Sophia Bush are dating. This surprising development comes after Harris's recent divorce from her former teammate, Ali Krieger, in September.

Harris and Krieger, both former USWNT players and now Gotham FC teammates, shared four years of marriage before deciding to part ways. Court documents obtained by Page Six indicate that Harris filed for divorce, citing that their union was "irretrievably broken."

Adding to the complexity of the situation, Sophia Bush, a 41-year-old actress, is also navigating the post-divorce phase. She separated from Grant Hughes in August after a 13-year marriage.


The connection between Ashlyn Harris and Sophia Bush is relatively fresh. As an inside source revealed to Page Six, "It's very new, but they are definitely a couple."

What makes this pairing all the more intriguing is that Harris and Bush have been friends for several years. They even shared a panel at the Cannes Lions Advertising Festival in June, and it was after this event that their friendship took a romantic turn.

Harris, a two-time World Cup champion in 2015 and 2019, primarily served as a backup goalkeeper during those triumphant campaigns. She has been an influential figure in women's soccer and has now taken on a new role as the Global Creative Advisor for Gotham FC after announcing her retirement from soccer in November 2022.

Amid the changes in their personal lives, Harris and Krieger had intended to sign a Parenting Plan to address child custody-related matters concerning their two young adopted children: 2-year-old daughter Sloane and 1-year-old son Ocean.

On the other side, Sophia Bush, who is an investor in Angel City FC, has expressed her lifelong passion for soccer, making her connection with the soccer world even more interesting.
