Arsenal faces tough time as vital players face injuries. Details here

Four players of Arsenal FC will not be able to play due to injuries at present. When will they join and how will Mikel Arteta manage the show?

At a time when Arsenal FC are gearing up for their first Champions League campaign in seven years, they are plagued with injuries and many players can be ruled out. It will certainly impact the team's performance and the morale of the players. To the utter dismay of Manager Mikel Arteta, Gabriel Martinelli was seen limping off inside half an hour of the victory over Everton. Arsenal will meet PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday before taking on bitter rivals Tottenham four days later.

Gabriel Martinelli

Forward Gabriel Martinelli had an eventual opening, he scored an opening goal, but it was ruled out by VAR for offside. Three three minutes later, he was withdrawn with a hamstring injury. He limped from the field and looked to be in pain. He is unlikely to play in the match in the Champions League three days later. He may return on Sunday, September 24, 2023, in the match against Tottenham.

Thomas Partey

Thomas Partey was ruled out of the match that the Gunners won against Manchester United before the international break. He continues to be on the sidelines. Arteta admitted that Partey was still "a few weeks" away from a return. He may make a comeback in October.

Mohamed Elneny

The silver lining is that Mohamed Elneny will be back in contention soon. He has resumed the training after undergoing knee surgery. Though he is not the biggest part of the first-team squad, Arteta saw value in the Egyptian international. He may join the squad in October.

Jurrien Timber

Arsenal signed Jurrien Timber in the summer with the hope that he may fill the gap created by an injured Thomas Partey. But he suffered a serious injury on his Premier League debut. The Dutchman tore his knee ligaments while playing against Nottingham Forest last month. He may join in the summer of 2024.
