Arizona Cardinals cornerback Jeff Gladney dies in a car crash at 25

Arizona Cardinals website said that the team's cornerback, Jeff Gladney, died in a car crash in Dallas Monday morning. The news was confirmed by his agent, Brian Overstreet. He was one of the two people who died in the crash at around 2:30 a.m.

According to the news from the County Sheriff's Department in Dallas, two vehicles were involved. Primary investigation revealed that a speeding white car clipped the second vehicle from behind. That car then lost control and bumped into the freeway pier beam, killing two people, a woman and a man in the car. The man and woman in the second vehicle remained uninjured.

Gladney was about to enter his third NFL season. Before NFL, he used to play football at Texas Christian University. He was drafted as a first-round pick-up by the Minnesota Vikings in 2020 but was released ahead of the 2021 season because he was indicted on felony assault charges.


Gladney was not found guilty in the incident, and the Cardinals signed him for two years in March 2022. Recently, he had been training with the Cardinals team during the organized team practices of the NFL.
