In an unfortunate event, three Indian Americans lost their lives to the frozen Woods Canyon Lake in Coconino County, Arizona. Reportedly, the trio drowned after falling through the ice sheet while walking on the frozen lake. The tragic incident took place at 3:35 PM on December 26, 2022. The three victims of the incident included two men and one woman. The officials identified the deceased men as Narayan Muddana (49) and Gokul Mediseti (47). The woman was identified as Haritha Muddana. They were living in Chandler, Arizona, and belonged to India originally.
The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) has released official statements describing the victims and the incident in detail. As per the reports, Haritha Muddana was alive when the rescue team pulled her out from the water. She was quickly addressed to the life-saving measures by the officials. Though, she did not respond to the safety measures and succumbed to life at the scene. Post this, the rescue team launched a search operation for Narayana Muddana and Gokul Mediseti. The dead body of the two men was found on Tuesday afternoon.
