In an unexpected development ahead of the US presidential election 2024, the vote-by-mail process in three competitive states demonstrates an intense decline in the advantage of Democrats, which they have enjoyed in the 2020 election.

Great advantage for Republicans

According to the experts, Republicans and former US president Donald Trump can enjoy a benefit because Democrats are losing their advantage of vote-by-mail requests in the swing states, which they have enjoyed in the 2020 election. The founder and president of JLK Political Strategies Republican consulting firm Jimmy Keady gave a statement to Fox News Digital that it's a great sign for the Republicans that they are starting for the early vote. The Republican Party has always favored in-person voting on Election Day but recently efforts have been made to encourage early participation.

As per the data of Decision Desk HQ, a notable change has come in the behavior of voters in the key battleground states. The Democratic Party which has previously enjoyed a significant advantage in vote-by-mail requests is now facing the opposite regarding the advantage in Florida, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. The shift is reflecting a transition which is highlighting how voters will cast their votes. Few Democrats are using the vote-by-mail process. However, by using the vote-by-mail method, they gained a large number of votes, as specified in Fox News.

Reduction in the vote-by-mail request of Democrats

The vote-by-mail request of the Democratic Party has declined by over 5% in Florida, approximately 15% in North Carolina, and over 35% in Pennsylvania. Vote-by-mail acted as a great strategy of the Democratic Party during the pandemic when it served as a popular voting method, as per Fox News.
