The Pitchfork report about the allegations against American-Canadian singer-songwriter and co-founder of "Arcade Fire" Win Butler had halted the world tour plan of the Montreal-based band. Although the band decided to proceed with their earlier plan of touring Dublin as their first destination, the Irish fans are still in a dilemma concerning the accusations and the truth.

What is the truth behind the accusations against Win Butler?

This past weekend, the report brought forth certain disturbing events between Win Butler and some of his fans. These women came forward to lodge complaints about how the singer appropriately touched them, forced them to engage in a sexual act against their will, and then sent explicit texts without consent.

Butler agreed to have relations with the women, but he mentioned that everything was done with their consent. His wife, Regine Chassagne, also revealed that her husband would never touch a girl without consent or approval. She admitted to the singer's struggles with alcohol and depression but backed her story with her show of trust in Butler about his behaviour.

What accusations put Arcade Fire off of Canada’s radio channels?
A woman with the pseudonym Lily claimed that Butler touched her thighs in the car and forced her against her will by pinning her to the car’s body. However, the Grammy Award winner denied the allegations and said they kissed in the car after she gave her approval.

Another victim with the pseudonym of Stella revealed that after meeting the singer, they used to chat over texts. But after a specific time, she started receiving explicit texts that were utterly inappropriate given their age gap. But Butler agreed to the sex chats, but he also said that he never realised it was inappropriate due to the difference in their ages.
