Apple's 'scary fast event: Tech giant likely to release new MacBook Pro models
Apple's "Scary Fast" event is likely to promise a spine-chilling revelation of four new Macs and potentially more, setting the stage for a tech thriller.

Enhancing the eerie atmosphere of this Halloween-themed occasion is the enigma surrounding the iDevices Apple is set to reveal on Monday. The presence of the Finder icon in Apple's official invite hints at the arrival of new Macs with search capabilities, but the big question remains: which ones?
Four new Macs expected
Known Apple insiders Mark Gurman and Ming-Chi Kuo, as reported by Bloomberg, have shared insights on the potential iDevices that could make their debut on Monday:
1. A revamped iMac featuring the cutting-edge M3 chip.
2. A 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by the new M3 Pro and M3 Max chips.
3. The 16-inch MacBook Pro equipped with the latest M3 Pro and M3 Pro chips.
It's been a while since the iMac received an update. The last colorful 24-inch models with the M1 chip were introduced in 2021. The 13-inch MacBook Pro, introduced in June 2022 with the M2 chip, is also overdue for an upgrade.
However, the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros received an upgrade in January of this year.
Gurman pointed out that while it's uncommon, Apple has, on occasion, introduced two Mac updates within a single year. He says he can't forget when Apple unveiled the iMac G5 with an integrated iSight camera, only to comically update it to Intel a mere three months later.
