Apple’s iOS 26 update: Which iPhones make the cut and which are getting dropped

iOS 26 is coming later this year, but users don’t have to wait. Apple has already released the public beta for download, as long as your iPhone can run it. iOS 26 dropped iPhones and Apple Intelligence

Phones dropped this year are the iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR, which means they won’t get iOS 26. Heads-up on Apple Intelligence, while all supported phones can install iOS 26, special AI features like Genmoji, Image Playground, and the new smarter search will only work on iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, and iPhone 16 models, as stated in the report by CNET.

Older supported devices will still get the new look and upgrades, but they will miss out on Apple Intelligence features. Not sure which iPhone you own?
