Apple iPhone 17 series: global launch window, pricing, and color options

The Apple iPhone 17 series is projected to debut between September 8 and 10, 2025, according to a Bloomberg report by analyst Mark Gurman. The global launch will include the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, with availability expected in the weeks following the unveiling.

While exact regional prices have yet to be confirmed by Apple, projected starting prices suggest the iPhone 17 will begin at approximately $899 (US), £849 (UK), CA$1,199 (Canada), and AED 3,299 (UAE). The iPhone 17 Air could launch at around $999, £949, CA$1,299, and AED 3,699, respectively.

The iPhone 17 Pro is expected to retail around $1,299, £1,199, CA$1,699, and AED 4,699, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max could start near $1,499, £1,349, CA$1,899, and AED 5,199.

Color options will vary by model. According to Macworld, the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air will be available in Light Gold, Light Blue, Purple, and Green. The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models will ship in Black, White, Grey, and Dark Blue colorways.

iPhone 17 series design, cameras, and performance specifications

Design changes in the iPhone 17 lineup will be more pronounced in the Air and Pro models. The iPhone 17 Air will introduce a Pixel-like camera island with a single 48MP sensor. The base iPhone 17 will feature a dual-camera setup, comprising a 48MP main lens and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor.

The Pro models will receive a full-width camera island and a triple-lens array consisting of a 48MP primary sensor, 48MP ultra-wide, and 48MP telephoto lens. Across all models, a new 24MP front-facing camera is expected to enhance selfie and video performance.

Processor configurations will vary across the series. The iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air are expected to be powered by the Apple A18 and A19 chips, respectively. The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will feature the Apple A19 Pro processor, offering a performance boost targeted at power users.

Reports also indicate the Pro models will receive a RAM upgrade to 12GB, up from 8GB in previous generations. Display enhancements include ProMotion support and a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals, likely exclusive to the Pro and Pro Max variants.

Apple has not confirmed these details officially, but industry insiders suggest the iPhone 17 series will mark a notable step forward in hardware and design refinement across international markets.
