A large number of anti-Israel protestors gathered outside Radio City Music Hall in New York Thursday demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Chanting anti-Israel slogans, the demonstrators also raised slogans against US President Joe Biden and asked him to stop funding the Zionist war machine. It happened when Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and some of Hollywood’s biggest stars teamed up to deliver a rousing New York embrace of Joe Biden and hauled in a record-setting $25 million for his reelection campaign.

Barack Obama offers support

Former President Barack Obama said that he offered "a positive case for someone who has done an outstanding job as president." Another former president Bill Clinton said Biden "deserves another term and democracy around the world needs it."

Joe Biden under criticism

At a time when Joe Biden is under scathing criticism, his old age has become an issue and he gets low numbers in survey polls, the fundraising haul was a major show of Democratic support for him. Earlier, Biden visited many political battlegrounds in three weeks since his State of the Union address served as a rallying cry for his reelection bid. Thursday's event also brought together more than three decades of Democratic leadership.

The music hall's marquee was lit up and read, 'An Evening with Joe Biden Barack Obama Bill Clinton.'

Protestors demand Gaza ceasefire

New York Police Department officers lined surrounding streets as part of a heavy security presence for the event. But the protesters were angry at Biden’s handling of the war in Gaza and strong support for Israel. As the demonstration briefly disrupted the show, Joe Biden pledged to keep working to stop civilian deaths, particularly of children. But he also said that Israel’s existence is at stake. Hundreds more protested outside in the drizzling rain, many demanding a cease-fire and waving Palestinian flags.
