Anthropic deploys new AI chatbot Claude 2. Know how it compares to ChatGPT, more details
Claude 2 is now available to general users in the U.S. and U.K. through a beta-test website. Businesses can also access Claude 2 through an API.

Anthropic is backed by Google and former executives of OpenAI. The company notes while launching, that it is a “friendly, enthusiastic colleague or personal assistant," unlike its predecessor, it will be available to use for the general public. A CNBC report noted that in the last two months, giants like Slack, Notion, and Quora tested the company’s AI models.
Now it’s the open battlefield when almost all tech giants have developed or are developing their entry into AI chatbots – Microsoft-backed OpenAI, Google Bard, and now Claude 2.
Claude 2, like its predecessor Claude 1.3, possesses the ability to search documents, summarize, write, code and answer specific questions. However, Anthropic asserts that Claude 2 excels in several aspects.
The company further notes that Claude 2 is powerful and can summarize up to about 75,000 words. For those unaware, a typical novel is about 60,000 to 80,000 words long. Therefore, if things work well and the product performs as per company’s expectations – it will come handy for several purposes. Meanwhile, OpenAI’s ChatGPT, as per CNBC report, can handle about 3,000 words.
