Anthony Richardson’s injury woes continued on Thursday night, as the Indianapolis Colts quarterback exited early in their preseason opener against the Baltimore Ravens.

Richardson, who started over offseason addition Daniel Jones, suffered a right pinkie injury on his second drive after being sacked by Baltimore’s David Ojabo. Replays showed the finger bending awkwardly, prompting Richardson’s immediate exit and replacement by Jones.

In limited action, Richardson completed 2 of 3 passes for 21 yards. The 2023 first-round pick is fighting to retain his starting role after an up-and-down 2024 season that included 11 starts and a brief benching in favor of Joe Flacco.

His rookie year was cut short by season-ending shoulder surgery, and he has since dealt with a series of injuries, including an oblique strain, back spasms, and a recent shoulder issue that kept him out of mandatory minicamp.
