An uncommon fan idea-turned-meme, famous as 'Thanos Theory', suggesting a gross technique for how Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) could kill Thanos (Josh Brolin) in 2019's Avengers: Endgame, went viral earlier.

The technique suggested that the size-changing champion could kill Thanos by shrinking himself, entering the Giant's butt and then expanding to a Giant-Man size. In an interview in 2018, Rudd responded to the technique by saying that he was not sure if the method could work and depended on Thanos, probably as the Giant could take a lot of punishment.

In a new video, Marvel Studios have officially addressed the butt theory in a clip from Avengers: Quantum Encounter, a new interactive mini-movie for the Disney Wish cruise.

The movie launches this month and teams up Ant-Man, the Wasp with Ms Marvel (Iman Vellani), Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), and Captain America (Anthony Mackie) against Ultron (Ross Marquand). In the feature, Ant-Man addresses the Thanos Theory right from the start while appearing next to the Wasp(Evangeline Lilly).

In a new video that has surfaced online, Scott Lang starts speaking about the chatter on Thanos Theory. When he begins explaining why he didn't creatively kill the Mad Giant Thanos, Wasp interrupts in between, and the video ends.

Danny Handke, Senior Creative Director at Walt Disney Imagineering, explained that they prepare the scripts for their show. Then Marvel supports with a writer for polishing and punching up the dialogues. So, the Doctor Strange writer Michael Waldron and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige scripted the joke.

Handke explained that the joke is part of Avengers: Quantum Encounter because Scott Lang was nervous speaking as an Avenger superhero for the first time, and the punch helped him be comfortable. While everyone is talking about it, he added that it's not true.

The Disney Wish cruise is all set to sail on 14th July 2022, while the Marvel movie Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is scheduled to release in theatres on 17th February 2023.
