His younger brother, Tristan Tate, has also been held in the same case. Romania’s Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) informed that the prosecutors will detain Andrew for 30 more days.
The Tate brothers have been under investigation in the case since April alongside two Romanian nationals, who also have been booked in this case. The suspects allegedly exploited a group of women to create pornographic content, which were meant to be shown on a particular website. There were six victims.
The directorate informed that the judge will rule on the application on December 30. The Tate brothers are suspected to be a part of the group engaged in organized crime against women.
Andrew Tate was banned earlier on all social media platforms including YouTube, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok for violating policies of these platforms under ‘dangerous organisations and individuals’. He also stirred up a storm recently for targeting Greta Thunberg, young environment activist with misogynistic comments on Twitter.
