Ana De Armas shifts to New York from Los Angeles; here's the reason why she made the move

After her break-up with Ben Affleck, Hollywood actress Ana De Armas has finally opened up about her decision to relocate to New York City from Los Angeles. In one of her recent interviews, De Armas said that she moved out of Los Angeles post her break-up with Affleck as she experienced ‘horrible’ attention in the city during her relationship with Affleck.

The 34-year-old actress claimed that there’s no escape or a way out from the disturbing and continuous attention you get as a movie star in Los Angeles. At the same time, the city gives you a feeling that you don’t have something, and it provides a sense that something is missing. Such feelings made her feel anxious.

In May 2020, Ana De Armas confirmed her relationship with Ben Affleck through an Instagram post when she was celebrating her birthday with Affleck. However, the relationship couldn't survive for long, as the news of the couple splitting up came out in January 2021.


Both the celebrities were in a live-in relationship in Los Angeles. After the break-up, De Armas came to New York City to escape the intense scrutiny she faced in Los Angeles. To keep anxiety away, De Armas stayed away from googling herself and making efforts to keep personal life secret. Since her break-up, De Armas is not too active on Instagram. She has also not been on Twitter for many years.

Ana De Armas will star in ‘They Gray Man’, where she is co-starring with Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling. She is also portraying the character of Marilyn Monroe in ‘Blonde’, which will premiere on Netflix.
